Analysis of existing magazines' COVERS 3

The magazine cover has a main image of Weezy the singer this is a medium shot because it shows his face, neck and body. He is wearing glasses and a robe as if he is "king", this contrasts with his body that is something a king defiantly would not have lots of tattoos. The main images pose is very confident and does not make eye contact because of the glasses but he has the image of the USA flag in the reflection this suggests that he is king of america in hip hop as one of the splash suggests.

The masthead is partially covered by the main image normally suggesting he is more important than the magazine but in this case the outline of the masthead is visible meaning he is important but not so important that the masthead is not visible. The font of the splash and sub headings are very dull colours to contrast the robe that the main image is wearing. The bar-codes also use the red from the robe to stand out, but not so bright that it distracts you from the main image and the title.
