Genre

These are two magazines in my chosen genre. These are two Vibe magazines that are published in the USA. They are not available in the UK, these magazines are aimed at a younger generation this drastically changes the way the magazine is printed. First off all there is a QR barcode that is used so that people with smartphones can scan for free information or advertising. There is also very little over facing text as it is aimed at a younger audience.

For the reasons above I have chosen to cover a rap magazine as there is a nice in the UK market for an R&B/Rap magazine. I will be able to create a good magazine as I have an interest in rap and so do my friends so it will be easy to get feedback on my magazine. This means is also have knowledge of this genre and I am interested in.
